11(1)If a person has an obligation under the
Family Law Act to provide support for another person and refuses or neglects to provide that support and, as a result of the refusal or neglect, assistance is applied for in respect of that other person, the Minister, with or without the consent of the person entitled to support, may apply for an order under the
Support Enforcement Act against the person who has an obligation to provide support and may invoke all the provisions of that Act with respect to obtaining the relief and enforcing orders made under that Act.
