An Act to Amend the
Firefighters’ Compensation Act
Assented to June 5, 2015
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1Section 20 of the Firefighters’ Compensation Act, chapter F-12.5 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2009, is amended
(a) by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
(a) an amount equal to 40% of the New Brunswick Industrial Aggregate Earnings to assist with necessary expenses of death such as burial,
(b) by adding after paragraph (a) the following:
(a.1) an amount equal to 50% of the New Brunswick Industrial Aggregate Earnings, and

2This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on December 20, 2012.
