An Act to Amend the Expropriation Act
Assented to May 21, 2014
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1Paragraph 6(g) of the Expropriation Act, chapter E-14 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed and the following is substituted:
(g) any document prescribed by regulation, and
2Paragraph 8(1)(b) of the Act is amended
(a) by repealing subparagraph (iii) and substituting the following:
(iii) stating that the notice of intention or application and the accompanying documents referred to in section 6 may be examined during normal office hours at the office of the Officer, and that a copy may be obtained for a nominal fee on request directed to the office of the Officer, and
(b) by striking out the portion following subparagraph (iv) and substituting the following:
and it is not necessary to publish the notice of intention, application or accompanying documents;
3Subsection 19(1) of the Act is amended by striking out the portion following paragraph (c) and substituting the following:
which notice shall contain a description of the land sufficient to identify it and the names of all registered owners of the land, and shall be accompanied by a document prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 6(g) or a plan of the land filed in accordance with subsection 50(4) of the Registry Act.
4Section 56 of the Act is amended by adding after paragraph (a) the following:
(a.1) prescribing documents for the purposes of paragraph 6(g);
