An Act to Amend the
Guardianship of Children Act
Assented to December 20, 2012
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1Section 1 of the Guardianship of Children Act, chapter 167 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended
(a) by repealing the definition “parent”;
(b) in the definition “child” by striking out “, whether born before or after this Act comes into force, and includes a child whose father and mother are not married to one another”.
