1Section 13 of New Brunswick Regulation 97-141 under the Fish and Wildlife Act is amended
(a) by renumbering the section as subsection 13(1);
(b) in subsection (1) by striking out “Notwithstanding subsection 4(4.1) of the Fur Harvesting Regulation - Fish and Wildlife Act,” and substituting “Despite subsection 4(4.1) of the Fur Harvesting Regulation – Fish and Wildlife Act and subject to subsection (2),”;
(c) by adding after subsection (1) the following:
13(2)The holder of an operator’s licence shall ensure that every snare, and every killing trap and drowning set as those terms are defined in the Fur Harvesting Regulation – Fish and Wildlife Act, set or placed by the holder to take a beaver is checked at least once every 72 hours after it is set or placed and shall ensure that any wildlife taken by it is removed from it immediately.
