REGULATION 2025-49
under the
Local Governance Act

1Section 28 of New Brunswick Regulation 2022-50 under the Local Governance Act is repealed and the following is substituted:
28(1)The Town of Riverview is continued.
28(2)Certain areas that are part of the village of Fundy Albert that are contiguous to The Town of Riverview are annexed to The Town of Riverview.
28(3)The territorial limits of The Town of Riverview, including the annexed areas, are shown on the plan in Schedule 28.
28(4)The effective date of the annexation is December 31, 2025.
2Section 47 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
47(1)The village of Fundy Albert is continued.
47(2)The territorial limits of Fundy Albert are decreased through the annexation of certain areas of Fundy Albert to The Town of Riverview.
47(3)The territorial limits of Fundy Albert are shown on the plan in Schedule 47.
47(4)The effective date of the decrease of territorial limits is December 31, 2025.
47(5)Fundy Albert is divided into six wards, which are indicated on the plan in Schedule 47.
47(6)For the purpose of first elections held under the Act, the council of Fundy Albert shall consist of the following seven members:
(a) the mayor elected at large; and
(b) one councillor elected from each ward referred to in subsection (5).
3Schedule 28 of the Regulation is repealed and the attached Schedule 28 is substituted.
4Schedule 47 of the Regulation is repealed and the attached Schedule 47 is substituted.
5This Regulation comes into force on December 31, 2025.
