REGULATION 2025-19

Administration Act

1Section 3 of New Brunswick Regulation 2021-2 under the Building Code Administration Act is amended
(a) in subsection (1) by striking out “2015” and substituting “2020”;
(b) by adding after subsection (1) the following:
3(1.1)For the purposes of the National Building Code of Canada 2020, Energy Performance Tier 2 of the National Building Code of Canada 2020 Division B, Section 9.36. is adopted as the minimum standard.
(c) in subsection (2) by striking out “2011” and substituting “2020”;
(d) by adding after subsection (2) the following:
3(2.1)For the purposes of the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2020, Energy Performance Tier 2 of the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2020 Division B, Part 10 is adopted as the minimum standard.
2Section 8 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in paragraph (1)(a) by striking out “2011” and substituting “2020”;
(b) in subsection (1.1) by striking out “2010” and “December 31, 2021” and substituting “2015” and “March 31, 2025”, respectively.
3This Regulation comes into force on May 1, 2025.
