Appointment of animal protection officers
8(1)The Minister may, in accordance with the requirements set by the regulations, appoint an officer, agent or employee of the society or any other person to be an animal protection officer who shall attend to the enforcement of this Act and the regulations in accordance with the powers conferred upon them by this Act and the regulations.
8(2)No person shall be appointed as an animal protection officer unless the person meets the requirements set by the regulations.
