Review of decision to take no further action

28.5The Commission may, on its own motion, and shall, on the request of the complainant, within 14 days after receiving notice under subsection 28.4(2), review the decision of the chief of police to take no further action under paragraph 28.4(1)(a) and shall
(a) confirm the decision and give the complainant, police officer and chief of police notice in writing of its decision, or
(b) rescind the decision and order the chief of police to continue with processing the conduct complaint.
