Duties and powers of the Ombud

65.2In addition to the Ombud’s duties and powers under Part 6 respecting complaints, the Ombud may
(a) monitor how this Act is administered,
(b) conduct investigations to monitor compliance with this Act,
(c) review privacy impact assessments that have been conducted by a custodian that is a public body,
(d) inform the public about this Act,
(e) promote best practices and provide advice to custodians,
(f) make recommendations with regard to this Act, and
(g) review any matter referred to the Ombud by the Executive Council.
