General authority of Minister
57The Minister may protect the health and well-being of the people of New Brunswick by any means, including
(a)
establishing goals for the health of the population,
(b)
pursuing policies that promote and support the health of the population,
(c)
facilitating public awareness of health issues and changing health needs, and
(d)
monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of programs and services and their effectiveness in achieving goals established for the health of the population.
