Plates required for operation of vehicle
68Except as otherwise expressly permitted in this Act, no person shall operate and no owner shall knowingly permit to be operated on a highway any vehicle required to be registered under this Act unless there is
(a) attached to the vehicle and displayed on the vehicle in the manner provided by section 30 the registration plate or plates issued for the vehicle by the Registrar for the current registration year, or
(b) attached to the vehicle and displayed on the vehicle in the manner provided by section 30 the registration plate or plates issued for the vehicle by the Registrar and affixed to the vehicle in the manner ordered by the Minister the sticker issued for the vehicle by the Registrar for the current registration year.

68No person shall operate, nor shall an owner knowingly permit to be operated, upon any highway any vehicle required to be registered hereunder unless there is
(a) attached thereto and displayed thereon in the manner provided by section 30 the registration plate or plates issued therefor by the Registrar for the current registration year, or
(b) attached thereto and displayed thereon in the manner provided by section 30 the registration plate or plates issued therefor by the Registrar and attached or affixed thereto in the manner ordered by the Minister the device issued therefor by the Registrar for the current registration year,
except as otherwise expressly permitted in this Act.
