12(1)The Lieutenant-Governor in Council shall appoint a Mining Commissioner for a term not to exceed five years.

12(2)The Mining Commissioner is eligible for reappointment.

12(3)The Mining Commissioner shall be paid a per diem allowance and such expenses as the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may determine.
