Authorization for payment of lawyer’s fees in relation to a claim under section 142.1
142.2Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Minister may, in accordance with the regulations, authorize the payment of a fee to a barrister and solicitor who makes a claim on behalf of an injured person and recovers a sum in respect of the cost of social services in accordance with section 142.1.

142.2Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Minister of Families and Children or the Minister of Seniors and Long-Term Care, as the case may be, may, in accordance with the regulations, authorize the payment of a fee to a barrister and solicitor who makes a claim on behalf of an injured person and recovers a sum in respect of the cost of social services in accordance with section 142.1.
