61(1)The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations
(a)
prescribing diseases for the purposes of paragraph 5(1)(b);
(b)
providing for conditions and restrictions that must be met before a firefighter or former firefighter or a dependant may make a claim in respect of a prescribed disease;
(c)
establishing minimum periods of service as a firefighter for the purposes of subparagraph 5(1)(b)(i), which periods may vary for different prescribed diseases or categories of diseases;
(d)
prescribing a ratings schedule for payment of a lump sum for a permanent physical impairment;
(e)
providing for the management of the Firefighters’ Pension Fund and regarding options available to beneficiaries under the plan;
(f)
prescribing a maximum amount for the purposes of subsection 45(4).
61(2)A regulation or any provision of a regulation made under this section may be made retroactive to any date not earlier than November 30, 2007.
