Mayor or councillor of a local governement
48.1(1)No person is eligible to be a member of the Legislative Assembly or to sit or vote in the Legislative Assembly who is a mayor or councillor of a local government.

Qualification of candidates
48.1(1)No person is eligible to be a member of the Legislative Assembly or of sitting or voting in the Legislative Assembly who is
(a) a mayor or councillor of a municipality, or
(b) a rural community mayor or a councillor of a rural community.
