Effect of rural plan for a rural community
49The adoption of a rural plan does not commit the rural community or the Province to undertake a proposal outlined or suggested in the rural plan, but shall prevent the rural community from undertaking a development in a manner that is inconsistent with a proposal or policy outlined or suggested in the plan.

Effect of rural plan for a rural community
49(1)Before carrying out or authorizing a development in a rural community, the Province shall consider a rural plan prepared for the rural community.
49(2)In the case of a rural community, the adoption of a rural plan for a rural community shall prevent the undertaking of a development in a manner inconsistent with a proposal or policy outlined or suggested in the plan.
