26The objects of the Professional Review Committee shall be to attempt to enhance the standards of medical service, to protect the interests of the public, government, the medical profession and the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession in the operation of the medical services plan and to provide experienced professional counsel to any medical practitioner or oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose pattern of practice under the medical services plan appears not to be in the best interest of the public, the medical profession or the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession.
