14.2(1)Subject to subsections (2) to (4), and notwithstanding any other provision of this Regulation, the amount payable for ordinary entitled services rendered by a medical practitioner who begins or resumes practice in the Province after July 1, 1990 and before August 1, 1993, is, for a period beginning with the date of the first entitled service rendered by the medical practitioner and ending when the medical practitioner has practised in the Province for a continuous period of three years,
(a) when
(i) every office from which the medical practitioner practises, and
(ii) if the medical practitioner practises primarily at a hospital facility, that hospital facility
is more than forty kilometres from the city halls of Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John, measured by the nearest available route, one hundred and ten per cent of the amount that would be payable apart from this section, or
(b) when paragraph (a) does not apply, seventy-five per cent of the amount that would be payable apart from this section.
14.2(2)Subsection (1) does not apply in the case of a medical practitioner who resumes practice in the Province having previously practised in the Province for a continuous period of three years.

14.2(4)Paragraph (1)(b) does not apply in the case of a specialist.
