14.01(1)Notwithstanding sections 13, 13.1 and 14, no payment shall be made for entitled services unless the account or claim for reimbursement is received by the Medicare Branch
(a)
in the case of a claim for reimbursement by a beneficiary for services rendered to a beneficiary or dependent inside the Province, within six months after the date upon which the entitled services were rendered, and
(b)
in the case of entitled services rendered to a beneficiary or dependent outside the Province, within twelve months after the date upon which the entitled services were rendered.
14.01(2)Notwithstanding subsection (1), an account or claim for reimbursement that is received after the applicable period may be paid if the Director so directs.
