12A participating medical practitioner or participating oral and maxillofacial surgeon may, at any time, elect to practise outside the provisions of the Act and the regulations by surrendering the practitioner number issued to the medical practitioner or oral and maxillofacial surgeon and by notifying the Director of the medical practitioner’s or oral and maxillofacial surgeon’s intention to practise outside the provisions of the Act and the regulations.
