5(1)Subject to subsection (2), a fur trader’s licence issued by the Minister under sections 87 and 87.1 of the Act shall be one of the following categories:
(a) a resident fur trader’s licence; or
(b) a non-resident fur trader’s licence.
5(2)A person applying for a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence shall file a statement with the Minister, accompanied by the prescribed fee, stating
(a) his name and address,
(b) the location of the warehouses, shops or other buildings in which the pelts or parts of carcasses will be stored, and
(c) the place from which the pelts or parts of carcasses are to be shipped out of the Province.
5(3)A holder of a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence shall
(a) file immediately with the Minister a statement stating any changes which occur with respect to the information supplied under paragraph (2)(a), (b) or (c);
(b) keep a record of
(i) the number and species of pelts and the number, type and species of parts of carcasses that the holder has bought or otherwise acquired,
(ii) the name, address, category of licence and licence number of each holder of a licence from whom pelts or parts were bought or otherwise acquired,
(iii) the date of the purchase or acquisition of the pelts or parts, and
(iv) the disposition of the pelts or parts;
(c) make available for inspection by a conservation officer at all reasonable times the records referred to in paragraph (b);
(d) submit a report to the Director of Fish and Wildlife before the fourteenth day of August in each year showing
(i) the number and species of pelts and the number, type and species of parts of carcasses bought or otherwise acquired from each holder of a licence during the preceding month,
(ii) the name, address, category of licence and licence number of each holder of a licence from whom pelts or parts were bought or otherwise acquired,
(iii) the number and species of pelts and the number, type and species of parts sold, and
(iv) the name and address of each person to whom pelts or parts were sold; and
(e) where there are no pelts, no parts or no pelts and no parts bought or otherwise acquired, submit a report to the Director of Fish and Wildlife stating this fact.
5(4)The Minister may, at any time, request a declaration of the information required under paragraph (2)(a), (b) or (c) or paragraph (3)(a) from the holder of a resident or a non-resident fur trader’s licence.
5(5)The Minister may suspend or cancel any resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence
(a) if the holder of a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence does not file immediately a satisfactory statement stating any changes which occur with respect to the information required under paragraph (2)(a), (b) or (c) in accordance with paragraph (3)(a), or
(b) if the holder of a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence does not file a declaration with the Minister immediately upon the request being made by the Minister under subsection (4).

(e) where there are no pelts, no parts or no pelts and no parts bought or otherwise acquired, submit a report to the Director of Fish and Wildlife stating this fact.
5(4)The Minister may, at any time, request a declaration of the information required under paragraph (2)(a), (b) or (c) or paragraph (3)(a) from the holder of a resident or a non-resident fur trader’s licence.
5(5)The Minister may suspend or cancel any resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence
(a) if the holder of a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence does not file immediately a satisfactory statement stating any changes which occur with respect to the information required under paragraph (2)(a), (b) or (c) in accordance with paragraph (3)(a), or
(b) if the holder of a resident or non-resident fur trader’s licence does not file a declaration with the Minister immediately upon the request being made by the Minister under subsection (4).
