Handcraft industry
10(1)The Minister of Economic Development may promote the development of the handcraft industry in the Province, and may make loans or advances to persons engaged in the handcraft industry as provided in the regulations.
Regulations
10(2)The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations
(a) prescribing the manner in which applications for a loan under subsection (1) are to be made;
(b) prescribing the terms and conditions on which loans under subsection (1) are to be made;
(c) limiting the amount of a loan under subsection (1);
(d) fixing the rate of interest on a loan under subsection (1);
(e) prescribing the purpose for which a loan under subsection (1) may be made; and
(f) respecting the formation of a special projects division to encourage artistic expression in leisure activities.

Provision of financial assistance to an amateur sport body or recreation body
11(1)The Minister of Healthy and Inclusive Communities may, in accordance with the regulations, provide financial assistance to an amateur sport body or a recreation body so as to aid and encourage the establishment or development of amateur sport and recreation in the Province.
Regulations
11(2)The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations
(a) respecting the manner of making an application for financial assistance under subsection (1),
(b) respecting the information that is to be furnished before financial assistance is given under subsection (1),
(c) respecting the conditions under which financial assistance may be given under subsection (1),
(d) respecting the amount of financial assistance to be given under subsection (1) and the method and manner in which such financial assistance is to be given, and
(e) defining “amateur sport body” and “recreation body” for the purposes of subsection (1).

Repeal
12The Youth Assistance Act, chapter Y-1 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed.
Commencement
13This Act or any provision thereof comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
N.B. This Act was proclaimed and came into force May 1, 1986.
