REGULATION 89-67
under the
Transportation of Dangerous
Goods Act

Under section 15 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation - Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
2In this Regulation
“Act” means the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act;(Loi)
“federal regulation” means the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, excluding Parts XI to XVI, made under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992 (Canada).(règlement fédéral)

3For the purposes of this Regulation
(a) “means of transport” when used in the federal regulation means a vehicle;
(b) “road” when used in the federal regulation means a highway; and
(c) “road vehicle” when used in the federal regulation means a vehicle.
4Subject to the Act and this Regulation, the provisions of the federal regulation regarding
(a) the safety requirements to be complied with, and
(b) the safety standards required for vehicles, containers and packaging and the safety marks to be displayed on such vehicles, containers and packaging
are adopted and compliance with the provisions as adopted is required.
5No person shall transport dangerous goods in, on or by a vehicle on a highway under circumstances where the transportation of such dangerous goods is prohibited in the federal regulation.
