REGULATION 84-31

Affidavits Act

Under subsection 5(2) of the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order:

1This Order may be cited as the Fees Order - Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act.
2(1)The fee for an appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths is seventy-five dollars.
2(2)The fee for a renewal of an appointment is seventy-five dollars.
2(3)Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), there is no fee for an appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths, or for a renewal of an appointment, of a person appointed as a justice of the peace in New Brunswick.
2(4)Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), there is no fee for an appointment as a Commissioner of Oaths, or for a renewal of an appointment, of a person employed in the Civil Service as defined in the Civil Service Act if such appointment or renewal is made upon the recommendation of a deputy head.

3Regulation 28, Statutory Orders and Regulations, 1963, under the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act is repealed.
4This Order comes into force on March 1, 1984.
