CHAPTER D-6.5
Demise of the Crown Act
Assented to May 1, 2009
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
Effect of demise
1When there is a demise of the Crown,
(a) the demise does not affect the holding of any office under the Crown, and
(b) it is not necessary for the holder of any such office who has taken an oath of office or allegiance before the demise to retake that oath.
REPEAL
Repeal
2The Demise of the Crown Act, chapter D-6 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed.
N.B. This Act is consolidated to May 1, 2009.
