Under section 12 of the Mental Health Services Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
1This Regulation may be cited as the Mental Health Services Advisory Committee Regulation - Mental Health Services Act.
2In this Regulation
“Act” means the Mental Health Services Act;(Loi)
“Committee” means the Mental Health Services Advisory Committee.(Comité)
3(1)The following mental health interest groups are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 5(1)(b) of the Act:
(a) Schizophrenia Society of New Brunswick;
(b) Canadian Mental Health Association (New Brunswick Division);
(c) New Brunswick Consumer Network;
(d) New Brunswick Association for Community Living;
(e) New Brunswick Senior Citizens Federation;
(f) Autism Society New Brunswick;
(g) Repealed: 2014-90
(h) Premier’s Council on Disabilities;
(h.1) New Brunswick Mental Health Activity Centre Association.
(i) Repealed: 2009-163
3(2)The following professional associations are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 5(1)(c) of the Act:
(a) College of Psychologists of New Brunswick;
(b) New Brunswick Association of Social Workers;
(c) Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
(d) New Brunswick Psychiatric Association;
(e) College of Family Physicians of Canada (New Brunswick Branch);
(f) New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists.

4The following persons are not eligible to be appointed to the Committee:
(a) a spouse, child, parent, brother or sister of a member of the committee;
(b) an elected member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick.
5When appointing members to the Committee, the Minister shall take into consideration gender, language and experience in relation to mental health services of the members and representation on the Committee from various areas of the province.
6Members of the Committee are entitled to be reimbursed for accommodation, meal and travel expenses reasonably incurred by them in the performance of their duties in accordance with the Treasury Board travel policy guidelines, as amended.
