Under section 71 of the Registry Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation - Registry Act.
2The registrar is the person responsible for the proper operation of the registry office.
3Every registrar shall collect the fees that are chargeable by or payable to him by virtue of his office and the amount so collected shall be deposited as provided in this Regulation.
4Every registrar shall keep a record of all the services for which fees are collected.
4.1For the purposes of subsection 19.01(1) of the Act, the following instruments shall not be filed or registered under the Act by submitting a digitally scanned image of the instrument:
(a) a will or codicil; and
(b) an instrument filed or registered under the Condominium Property Act.

5(2)Every registrar shall deposit in an account in a chartered bank of Canada all the money collected or received by the registrar by virtue of his or her office.
5(3)No registrar shall mix such money with his own money or with any other money whatsoever.

7Regulation 140, Statutory Orders and Regulations, 1963, under the Registry Act is repealed.
