Under section 45 of the Official Languages Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the Interdepartmental Working Group RegulationOfficial Languages Act.
Definitions
2The following definitions apply in this Regulation.
“Act” means the Official Languages Act.(Loi)
“Working Group” means the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Revision of the Official Languages Act.(Groupe de travail)
Interdepartmental Working Group
3There is established the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Revision of the Official Languages Act.
Members of Group
4The Premier shall appoint members to the Working Group, consisting of at least one representative from
(a) the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat within the Executive Council Office,
(b) the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development,
(c) the Department of Justice and Public Safety, and
(d) the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour.
Mandate
5The mandate of the Working Group is to provide support to the commissioners responsible for the revision of the Act in their work, including with respect to
(a) consultations with government departments and agencies relating to amendments to the Act,
(b) consultations with the public relating to amendments to the Act, and
(c) the analysis of documents and briefs relating to proposed amendments to the Act that are filed with the commissioners.
