Under section 38 of the Lobbyists’ Registration Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation – Lobbyists’ Registration Act.
Definition of “Act”
2In this Regulation, “Act” means the Lobbyists’ Registration Act.
In-house lobbyist
3For the purposes of the definition “in-house lobbyist”,
(a) in paragraphs 9(a) and 14(a) of the Act, 20% of the time an employee spends working constitutes a significant part of the duties of the employee, as calculated during a three-month period, and
(b) in paragraphs 9(b) and 14(b) of the Act, 20% of the time one full-time employee spends working constitutes a significant part of the duties of one employee, as calculated during a three-month period.
Commencement
4This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2017.
