Under section 56 of the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the Fees Regulation - Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act.
Definition of “Act”
2In this Regulation,“Act” means the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act.(Loi)
Registration fee
3The fee payable for registration as an apprentice under the Act is $25.
Tuition fee
4The tuition fee payable for block training is as follows:
(a) before August 1, 2013, $60 per week; and
(b) on or after August 1, 2013, $85 per week.
Challenger examination fees
5The following fees are payable by challengers for examinations under the Act:
(a) for a written examination for a certificate of qualification, $250;
(b) for the reexamination of an examination referred to in paragraph (a),
(i) before April 1, 2013, $85, and
(ii) on or after April 1, 2013, $120;
(c) for a practical examination for a certificate of qualification,
(i) before April 1, 2013, $275, and
(ii) on or after April 1, 2013, $350; and
(d) for the reexamination of an examination referred to in paragraph (c),
(i) before April 1, 2013, $275, and
(ii) on or after April 1, 2013, $350.
Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program examination fees
6The fee payable for an Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program examination under the Act is as follows:
(a) before April 1, 2013, $100; and
(b) on or after April 1, 2013, $200.
Assessment fees
7The following fees are payable for assessments under the Act:
(a) for assessing the qualifications of a person for the purpose of determining whether to register him or her as a challenger, $100; and
(b) for assessing the training or work experience of a person for the purpose determining whether to grant him or her credits under section 24 of the Act, $100.
Issuance fees
8The following fees are payable for the issuance of credentials or endorsements under the Act:
(a) for the issuance of a certificate of qualification without written examination, $200;
(b) for the issuance of a certificate of qualification to a person who holds a certificate of qualification from a jurisdiction outside New Brunswick, $150; and
(c) for the issuance of a work permit,
(i) before April 1, 2013, $150, and
(ii) on or after April 1, 2013, $200.
Replacement fees
9(1)The fee payable for the replacement of a certificate of qualification, a diploma of apprenticeship or a certificate of qualification without written examination issued under the Act is as follows:
(a) before April 1, 2013, $15; and
(b) on or after April 1, 2013, $20.
9(2)The fee payable for the replacement of a photo identification card is $20.
9(3)The fee payable for the replacement of a progress record book is $25.
Commencement
10This Regulation comes into force on August 1, 2012.
