Under section 45 of the Official Languages Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the Interdepartmental Working Group Regulation - Official Languages Act.
Definitions
2The following definitions apply in this Regulation.
“Act” means the Official Languages Act.(Loi)
“Working Group” means the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Revision of the Official Languages Act.(groupe de travail)
Interdepartmental Working Group
3There is established the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Revision of the Official Languages Act.
Members of Group
4The Premier shall appoint members to the Working Group, consisting of at least one representative from
(a) Repealed: 2012, c.39, s.105
(b) the Department of Justice and Attorney General,
(c) the Executive Council Office, and
(d) Repealed: 2012, c.39, s.105

Objects and Purposes
5The objects and purposes of the Working Group are as follows:
(a) to conduct research and to receive and analyze briefs, suggestions and recommendations relating to amendments to the Act;
(b) to consult with government departments and agencies relating to amendments to the Act;
(c) to participate in consultations with the general public relating to amendments to the Act;
(d) to analyze documents and briefs relating to proposed amendments to the Act that are filed with the Select Committee on the Revision of the Official Languages Act; and
(e) to provide support to the Select Committee on the Revision of the Official Languages Act on the review of the Act.
