Employment Standards Act

1Section 4 of New Brunswick Regulation 2007-34 under the Employment Standards Act is repealed and the following is substituted: 
4On and after April 1, 2019, the minimum wage payable to an employee in a category listed in Column I of Schedule A shall be the greater of
(a) the minimum wage per hour listed in Column II of Schedule A, and
(b) the minimum wage per hour payable to an employee under the Minimum Wage Regulation – Employment Standards Act.
2Section 5 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted: 
5On and after April 1, 2019, the minimum wage payable to an employee in a category not listed in Column I of Schedule A shall be the greater of
(a) the minimum wage per hour payable to a Labourer as set out in Column II of Schedule A, and
(b) the minimum wage per hour payable to an employee under the Minimum Wage Regulation – Employment Standards Act.
3Schedule A of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:

4This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2019.
