1Schedule A of New Brunswick Regulation 94-97 under the Highway Act is amended
(a) by repealing the heading preceding section 1 and substituting the following:
Route 1 - Lepreau to Market Place Interchange
(b) by repealing section 1 and substituting the following:
1All that portion of Route 1 from the boundary between Charlotte County and Saint John County to Market Place Interchange located in Musquash Parish and The City of Saint John, Saint John County, designated as a level I controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 1 and the boundary between Charlotte County and Saint John County; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 1 for a distance of approximately 34.552 kilometres to the point that is at the centre of the median for Route 1 and the centre of the median for the Market Place Interchange ramps, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.
(c) by adding after section 8 the following:
Division C
Route 1 - Market Place Interchange to the point that is 200 metres east of Market Place Interchange
8.1All that portion of Route 1 from Market Place Interchange located in The City of Saint John, Saint John County, to the point that is 200 metres east of Market Place Interchange, designated as a level IV controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the point that is at the centre of the median for Route 1 and the centre of the median for Market Place Interchange ramps; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 1 to the point that is 200 metres east of the centre of the median for Route 1 and the centre of the median for Market Place Interchange ramps, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Route 1 - from the point that is 200 metres east of Market Place Interchange to the boundary between Saint John County and Kings County
8.2All that portion of Route 1 from the point that is 200 metres east of Market Place Interchange to the boundary between Saint John County and Kings County located in The City of Saint John, Saint John County, designated as a level I controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the point on the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 1 that is 200 metres east of the intersection of the centre of the median of Route 1 and the centre of median for Market Place Interchange ramps; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 1 for a distance of approximately 11.530 kilometres to the boundary between Saint John County and Kings County, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.
